A mug of hug

Chrysanthemums, Goji berries and Red dates. A combination rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, believed to help digestion, promote relaxation, boost immunity.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dried goji berries
  • 3 dried red dates
  • 2/3 cups dried chrysanthemum flowers
  • 20 - 30g brown jaggery sugar
  • 1L water

Directions

PREPARATION

  1. Wash and drain the goji berries, dates and chrysanthemum flowers separately

  2. Cut each red date about 3/4 of the way through, avoiding the seed in the middle

COOKING

  1. Transfer water, chrysanthemum flowers and dates to a pot

  2. Lid on and bring to a boil on medium high heat

  3. When the water reaches a rolling boil, stir in goji berries and sugar

  4. Lid on and bring back to a boil

  5. When it reaches a rolling boil again, turn the heat off and allow to rest 5 - 10min with lid on


Serving and storage:

Enjoy hot, warm or cold.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, strain and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
