Palačinky (Czech crepes)

They are delicious and versatile, we enjoy them sweet or savoury.

One of our go-to's any time.


Makes 8 - 10


Ingredients

  • 200g flour
  • 400ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil

Directions

  • Whisk together the ingredients together and allow to rest for 15 minutes to an hour on the counter
  • Strain through a sieve
  • Heat a 10-inch nonstick pan over medium heat
  • When the pan is hot, spray with cooking oil
  • Add 1/3 cup (small ladle full) of the batter and immediately swirl the pan to coat the entire surface
  • Cook until the top is dry and the bottom is golden brown
  • Flip and cook for 10 - 20 seconds, until the desired colour is achieved, place on a plate and repeat the process with the remaining batter
